A growing aerospace and space technology company is seeking a Production Manager to lead softgoods and advanced manufacturing operations supporting next-generation aerospace systems and hardware.
This role will oversee day-to-day production activities across technical textile and softgoods manufacturing environments, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and delivery performance while helping scale production capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead daily manufacturing operations across softgoods and technical production teams
• Manage production schedules, labour planning, and operational performance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and scalability
• Partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
• Develop and mentor production leads, technicians, and manufacturing personnel
• Monitor KPIs including throughput, utilisation, scrap, and delivery performance
• Support manufacturing readiness, process development, and production scale-up activities
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures
Requirements:
• 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience within aerospace, space, softgoods, textiles, composites, or advanced manufacturing environments
• Experience leading production teams in fast-paced manufacturing settings
• Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing workflows, and operational metrics
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and continuous improvement initiatives
• Background supporting technical textiles, sewn products, thermal systems, or high-performance materials preferred
• Aerospace or space industry experience highly desirable
