An innovative aerospace technology company developing high-reliability communication systems for space and airborne platforms is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support production and supplier quality operations.
This is a cross-functional role focused on strengthening Quality Management Systems, driving corrective action culture, and improving supplier and manufacturing performance within an AS9100-compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain QMS procedures and quality processes
- Lead resolution of nonconformances using failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and 8D methodologies
- Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reporting
- Investigate and resolve supplier nonconformances and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and manufacturing
- Develop and track quality objectives and performance metrics
- Deliver QMS training across functional teams
- Support internal and external audits in compliance with AS9100 and applicable standards
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- 8 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with continuous improvement initiatives
- Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
- Proven experience leading structured root cause investigations
- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
Preferred
- Aerospace or high-reliability electronics manufacturing experience
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
Salary : $92,000 - $119,000
