We’re looking for a top talent to own and lead contract strategy with the U.S. Government for a fast-moving space SaaS company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead full lifecycle government contracting: pre-award capture, proposal strategy, negotiations, post-award execution, and compliance
- Shape and define opportunity pipelines, influencing RFPs, creating win strategies, driving customer relationships in DoD / Intelligence Community spaces
- Partner cross-functionally with engineers, product, business development, legal, and leadership to ensure contracts align with technical realities and commercial goals
- Set pricing & terms, manage risk, ensure contracts comply with FAR / DFARS / ITAR / other regulations
- Monitor performance, deliverables, and milestones; manage subcontractors, audits, modifications, disputes
- Stay ahead of acquisition policy, market trends, and government funding cycles to inform our go-to-market roadmap
- Represent us at executive and customer forums; build credibility and relationships at senior levels
What You Bring
- 8 years experience in U.S. Government contracting, including pre-award, post-award, proposals, negotiations
- Deep familiarity with DoD / Intelligence community acquisitions, contract vehicles, ITAR / export control, FAR / DFARS
- Strong track record in negotiating complex technical / software / systems contracts
- Excellent communication & presentation skills; you can make technical contract issues digestible for engineers, execs, and customers
- Strategic mindset, with an ability to work in ambiguity, make decisions, and lead cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel (up to ~50%)
- Must be U.S. citizen or otherwise eligible under ITAR / export control rules
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in space / satellite / ground systems / mission ops / software
- Prior work with cloud, SaaS, or platform companies
- Existing relationships or reputation in relevant government program offices
- Clearance (TS/SCI or similar)
