EHS Engineer II

EVONA are supporting a rapidly growing space communications company in their search for an EHS Engineer II to join their manufacturing and operations team in Westminster, CO.
This company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other aerospace and defense platforms, and recently secured major funding to support significant growth across their engineering and production operations.
They are looking for an EHS professional who can help build and scale safety processes in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to develop safety procedures, drive compliance initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and promote a strong safety-first culture across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and safety programs
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and emergency response drills
- Create and maintain SOPs, training documentation, and compliance records
- Support electrical, chemical, mechanical, fire, ESD, and environmental safety initiatives
- Partner with engineering and operations teams on new equipment and facility safety requirements
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of EHS experience within aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and workplace safety regulations
- Experience with RCA, risk assessments, audits, and safety documentation
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-moving engineering environment
- Ability to read schematics, standards, and technical documentation
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident required
Preferred:
- Aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing experience
- Startup or scaling manufacturing environment experience
- Forklift trainer certification
