What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Technology Officer position at EVONA?
CTO | Space Manufacturing | Austin, TX
The next industrial revolution will not happen on Earth.
I’m partnered with an early-stage New Space company building the infrastructure to make manufacturing in orbit commercially scalable.
They’re not building another research payload.
They’re building the autonomous platforms, manufacturing systems, logistics infrastructure and operational backbone that could turn microgravity production from an experiment into an industry.
The company has:
• Raised seed funding
• Paying customers
• Multiple missions under contract
• A recent NASA prize win
• Meaningful CTO-level equity on offer
They’re now hiring a founding CTO to lead the technical vision and build the engineering organization that takes them from early missions to a high-cadence space manufacturing business.
This is for someone who has:
• Built and shipped complex aerospace hardware
• Led multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Operated in fast-moving New Space environments
• Strong judgement across hardware, software, automation and manufacturing
• The appetite to step into a true founding executive role
The ideal background is likely from companies like SpaceX, Rocket Lab, Vast, True Anomaly, Astranis, Loft, Impulse, Apex, Redwire, Axiom, Space Forge, Relativity or similar.
Location: Austin, TX
Comp: $200k-$240k base meaningful equity
Requirement: U.S. Person due to export control
This is not a maintenance CTO role.
It’s a chance to help define a category from the ground up.
If you’ve already built the vehicle, the platform, the test infrastructure or the engineering team, and now want to build the company, I’d like to speak with you.
Message me directly or email s.stocks@evona.com.
Salary : $200,000 - $240,000
