Overview
Evolutions Treatment Center is seeking responsible and compassionate Recovery Coordinators to provide exceptional support and care to our clients.
Working under the supervision of the Program Director, Clinical Director, and other administrative leadership, the Recovery Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring structure, safety, and consistency throughout each client’s recovery journey.
The Recovery Coordinator assists new clients with orientation to program expectations, ensures adherence to daily schedules, escorts clients to clinical and medical appointments, and supports clients in developing healthy routines and behaviors essential for long-term recovery.
This position requires professionalism, empathy, and the ability to maintain order and structure in a therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure a safe and structured environment for all clients and staff.
- Assist new admissions with orientation, ensuring they understand program rules, schedules, and expectations.
- Monitor and document client behavior, mood, and overall well-being throughout each shift, reporting any changes or concerns promptly to clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client whereabouts, progress, and incident reports, including required 15-minute safety checks.
- Support clients with personal hygiene, life skills, and independent living skills to promote personal growth and accountability.
- Facilitate and assist with activity groups and therapeutic programming under the direction of the Program Director or Clinical Team.
- Assist with de-escalation and crisis intervention using trauma-informed and professional communication techniques.
- Escort clients safely to appointments, court appearances, community activities, or recreational events as needed.
- Ensure all areas of the facility remain clean, organized, and prepared for daily operations and new admissions.
- Assist with inventory, supplies, and other operational tasks as directed by leadership.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, staff, visitors, and external providers at all times.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients in a calm, professional, and therapeutic manner.
- Ability to identify changes in client behavior or emotional state and report appropriately.
- Understanding of recovery principles, relapse prevention, and behavioral health best practices.
- Knowledge of safety, infection control, and emergency protocols.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to perform basic administrative tasks such as documentation, file maintenance, and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience working with individuals in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use recovery preferred.
- Valid State of Florida Driver’s License required.
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening as required by the Florida Department of Children and Families.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
