Location: The Woodlands, TX
Amount of Travel Required: up to 20%
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Positions Supervised: Area Manager and Power Generation Managers.
AIP: Level 4
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Power Generation Operations will lead the vision and execution of flawless turbine operation, service quality, and asset integrity for all of Evolution, as well as support services for the family of Beusa companies. They will work very closely with the Regional Directors of Operations, and other peer Directors to ensure the proper strategy is set forth, organized, and executed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "May")
- Lead the strategy for area leadership of all power assets and personnel for Evolution.
- Lead the strategy for support services, including power equipment moves, field services, electrical support, and frac pre and post move efforts for the family of Beusa companies.
- Strategize with other directors including engineering, operations, asset integrity, etc., to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
- Strategize with Quality, Engineering, Knowledge Management, etc. to address, but more importantly, prevent specific power related operational issues.
- Provide strategic updates to VP of Operations on the status of Power Generation equipment and personnel.
- Strategize systems and process to ensure clear visibility and accountability, including but not limited to ERP, PDM, MRP, internal applications, etc.
- Ensure teams conduct work in accordance with safety processes, standard operating procedures, and site-specific policies.
- Provide avenue for essential training and continued learning within power generation.
- Work with Beusa family of companies to ensure long term turbine repower strategy is adequate with proper planning and execution.
- Perform other duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License. Employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
- In person, predictable attendance, overtime as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- 4-year technical bachelor’s degree required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
- Previous aeroderivative power generation experience a plus.
- Knowledge of power generation equipment and operations.
- 5 of supervisory experience in a relevant field required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to attend, participate, and successfully complete the scheduled New Hire Safety training, including but not limited to H2S, Powered Industrial, and basic First Aid and CPR training.
- Attends and successfully completes annual safety and operations recertification training.
- Able to communicate in a technical manner around clients.
- Ability to successfully work within a team environment to complete assigned tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable and compliant with digital platforms including Active Learner, Paycom, KPA, and other company mandated systems. For new hires, ability to quickly learn and navigate company platforms.
- Ability to take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
- Efficient at Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADVANCEMENT: (Promotions may occur only after the following qualifications have been satisfied. Promotions are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of position openings.)
- Time in Position: Minimum 18-24 months.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and or exceed in performance goals.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The Employee works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in-person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Employee may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, the Employee should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
When required to go to a wellsite, employees will rideshare with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions, employees are required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and safety gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies. Employees are regularly required to lift heavy objects; therefore, Employee must be able to lift 49 lbs. independently and 50-100 lbs. with a team lift.
Work hours may include early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on job demands.
