Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Set up and operate machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, flexo presses, press brake machines, and CAM programming tools to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Program CNC equipment using Fanuc controls and other programming software; troubleshoot issues during production runs.
- Perform routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify part dimensions and quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment; assist with materials handling and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain machinery through basic preventative maintenance; identify and report mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working on assembly lines or with heavy tooling; ensure a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machines (milling machines, lathes) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining, fabrication, welding, tooling setup, and assembly line processes.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks for interpreting designs; experience with CAM programming is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Knowledge of factory safety standards, quality control procedures, and materials handling techniques.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments; excellent problem-solving abilities.
