POSITION: Quality Control Manager / SQF Practitioner

Position Summary
The Manager of Quality Control at EVG Extracts is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, verification, and continuous improvement of the site’s SQF Food Safety and Quality Management System in accordance with SQF Code, Edition 9, applicable regulatory requirements, and cGMPs. EVG Extracts is a private label manufacturer of food and supplements, specializing in hemp and other functional ingredients. We make gummies, topicals, tinctures, drinks, water soluble ingredients, pressed tablets, and more.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- SQF System Implementation & Verification (SQF 2.1.1–2.1.4) supports the implementation and maintenance of the SQF system and verify procedures are implemented, and records are complete.
- Management Responsibility & Food Safety Culture (SQF 2.1.1–2.1.3) reinforce management commitment to food safety and quality, promote employee awareness and reporting
- Internal Audits (SQF 2.5.4–2.5.5) plan, conduct, and document internal audits and verify corrective actions are implemented and effective.
- HACCP & Risk Management (SQF 2.4.1–2.4.4) Support hazard analysis and HACCP plan maintenance, verify controls and reassess when changes occur.
- Supplier Approval & CAPA (SQF 2.3.4–2.3.5, 2.5.3) Maintain supplier approval records and manage non-conformance and CAPA processes.
- Batch Record Review & Release (SQF 2.2.1–2.2.2) Review BPRs and release product based on documents.
- Collaborate with production to make sure all SQF and cGMP policies are being executed correctly. Expected to be ‘on the floor’ to check in regularly.
- Work with production to ensure samples are pulled and submitted timely for testing and communicate results with appropriate teams efficiently when they are received. Work is mostly at our Arvada Colorado location but will also oversee our farm/extraction location in Eastern Colorado, at times requiring travel.

Requirements & Certifications
- HACCP Certification (Required)
- SQF Practitioner Certification
- PCQI (Preferred)
- Internal Auditor Training

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $65,000 -$75,000/ year depending on experience
