Job Summary
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. You will work directly under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans, assist with daily living activities (ADLs), and collect data to track progress. What you’ll do
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
- Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and enhance quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client behavior and progress for ongoing assessment.
- Provide support in behavior management techniques to help clients develop essential skills.
- Collaborate with families and other team members to ensure consistent care and communication.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in teaching strategies that foster learning and development in clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Basic qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and experience in special education settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes related to patient care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
