We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nationally Certified School Psychologist to join our educational team. Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators, parents, and other specialists to support student success.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on child & family counseling, social skills development, and behavioral management.
- Lead crisis intervention efforts, including safety planning and crisis management, to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop effective behavior management strategies and support positive classroom environments.
- Facilitate early intervention programs by conducting intake assessments and monitoring progress through ongoing case management.
- Prepare detailed medical documentation, psychological testing reports, and maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology.
- Offer training and consultation on special education procedures, including IEP development, compliance, and accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Engage in conflict management and social work practices to resolve issues impacting student learning or emotional health.
- Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques where appropriate to support students with autism or behavioral challenges.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented effectively across educational settings.
Experience
- Valid certification as a school psychologist recognized at the national level.
- Proven experience working with children in school environments, including experience with special education programs.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and developing individualized intervention strategies.
- Strong background in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health services.
- Familiarity with working with students who have developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
- Experience managing safety plans, crisis situations, and conflict resolution within school settings.
- Knowledge of medical documentation procedures, medical terminology related to mental health or developmental conditions, and maintaining detailed medical records.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including teachers, social workers, speech therapists, and healthcare professionals.
