What you'll do
- Provide essential patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts to ensure patient safety.
- Support patients with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, and dementia.
- Administer medications under the supervision of nursing staff while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide emotional support and education.
Basic qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant from an accredited program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers.
- Background in long-term care, hospice care, or home health environments.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and medication administration.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
