The Development Data & Systems Specialist serves as the primary administrator of Every Child’s Hope (ECH) fundraising and donor management systems. This role is critical to advancing the ECH mission by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and strategic use of donor and fundraising data that supports philanthropy, donor engagement, stewardship, and organizational growth.

The Development Data & Systems Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining donor records, processing gifts, producing meaningful reports and insights, supporting fundraising events and campaigns, and optimizing the systems that help connect donors to our mission. Working closely with Development, Finance, and agency leadership, this position helps ensure that fundraising operations run efficiently and that donors receive an exceptional giving experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Donor Database & Systems Administration

· Serve as the primary administrator for fundraising and donor management systems, including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, GiveSmart, Cognito Forms, and related platforms.

· Support fundraising and stewardship activities by maintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date donor and constituent records, including giving history, contact information, relationships, communication preferences, and engagement activities.

· Ensure data integrity by identifying and resolving duplicate records, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.

· Develop and implement database standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.

· Manage system security, user permissions, imports, exports, integrations, and ongoing maintenance and ensure donor confidentiality.

· Coordinate data synchronization and integrations between fundraising, event, online giving, and third-party platforms.

· Troubleshoot system issues and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.

· Create and maintain reports, dashboards, lists, and data exports to support fundraising activities, financial reconciliation, strategic planning, and donor engagement efforts.

· Collaborate with Development and Finance teams to ensure data and reporting accuracy and consistency.

Gift Processing & Donor Stewardship Support

· Process and record charitable gifts accurately and in a timely manner.

· Generate donor acknowledgment letters and other donor communications.

Fundraising Campaign & Event Support

· Support annual appeals, online campaigns, donor stewardship efforts, grant-related activities, and other fundraising initiatives.

· Provide administrative and database support for events, including registrations, sponsorship

tracking, guest management, seating assignments, attendee reporting, event communications and post-event reports and analytics.

· Assist with special projects and development activities as needed, which may require occasional evening and weekend activities.

Qualifications must include, but are not limited to:

· Associate’s degree from a two-year college or technical school or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with at least two years experience in related field.

· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to successfully perform multiple concurrent tasks.

· Experience with and proficiency in Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, GiveSmart, Cognito Forms, or comparable fundraising technologies.

· Ability to work flexible hours when necessary, including some evenings and weekends.

· Meet physical demands of occasionally lifting and moving items, including equipment and supplies needed for events and material donations received.

· Must have reliable transportation to and from work and for occasional minimal travel.

Working Conditions
