Job Summary
Responsible for assembling, wiring, and plumbing new and used equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Attention to details.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
- Must be able to follow all PPE requirements
- Use of power and hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Install freshly painted components onto equipment per engineering drawings.
- Wire trailer electrical systems including lights and brakes.
- Plumb pneumatic brake systems on larger units.
- Install hydraulic components and plumb hydraulic circuits per engineering drawings.
- Install electronic components and wire electronic circuits per engineering drawings.
- Set pressures on hydraulic circuits and verify parameters for electronic systems.
- Perform system operation checks and take corrective action if necessary.
- Operate equipment to test functionality and spool rope/cable onto reels when applicable.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Wash units after final inspection.
- Assist in maintenance of rental fleet when necessary.
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules.
- Keep the tools and work area clean and organized.
- Keep the supervisor aware of parts and inventory used so they may be replaced.
- Complete applicable maintenance forms and records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
