Project Executive – Commercial Construction

A long-established California General Contractor with multiple offices statewide is hiring a Project Executive to lead major projects, mentor operational teams, and help drive the next phase of strategic growth.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing executive oversight across multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Leading Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams to deliver best-in-class outcomes
- Managing financial performance including budgets, forecasting, margin protection, and risk management
- Building and maintaining strong owner, consultant, and client relationships to generate repeat business
- Driving schedule performance, procurement strategy, and operational efficiency across active projects
- Supporting preconstruction teams on pursuits, budgets, and delivery strategy
- Mentoring rising operational talent and strengthening internal leadership bench strength
- Ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction standards are consistently achieved
- Partnering with senior leadership on office growth, market expansion, and long-term planning
What we’re looking for:
- 10 years of experience with a General Contractor in project management / operations leadership
- Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects in California
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen with ownership of project P&Ls and forecasting
- Strong client-facing presence with the ability to win and retain business
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Stable career history with progressive responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
Compensation & benefits:
- Up to $250,000 base salary (depending on experience)
