Be Bed Head's resident storyteller owning PR, social, and influencer as one function from an earned and owned perspective. This role is both strategist and doer: sets the content/community/influencer strategy AND does the hands-on community management day to day, while also managing outside agency relationships.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop the social and influencer strategy in partnership with the Brand Go-to-Market Lead, complementing the broader go-to-market plan to engage consumers and drive brand awareness and consideration.
• Generate the monthly content calendar across all owned platforms and create post content, including images and copy - conversant in basic graphic design principles and comfortable with copywriting.
• Act as community manager across all owned channels - posting, responding, moderating
• Develop the influencer strategy for Bed Head, aligned to brand and business goals, and work closely with agency and Marketing team to identify influencers and UGC creators who represent the brand, handling contracts, approving deliverables and budgets, and setting execution timelines.
• Closely monitor competitive social channels and research industry trends, providing intel on ways to keep Bed Head's channels competitive in the beauty and personal care space.
• Monitor performance of social and influencer content against measurable KPIs, optimizing plans on an ongoing basis, and guide the agency on social listening, trend tracking, and crisis management workstreams.
• Develop earned media narratives that connect Bed Head's 30-year salon heritage to current cultural relevance.
• Partner with the Brand Go-to-Market Lead on product priorities and budget for content, influencer, usage rights
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree; a marketing focus is a plus.
• 4–5 years in social media marketing, ideally including CPG or beauty experience, with a proven track record on content, engagement, and sales performance.
• Experience working with social media and influencer agencies - briefing creatives, approving deliverables, and managing contracts and budgets.
• Comfort with basic graphic design tasks (e.g., modifying images for different platforms) and copywriting for social.
• Sharp instinct for Millennial/Gen Z tone can write and direct content that doesn't read as corporate.
• Existing relationships with beauty/hair creators and press contacts a strong plus.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000 per year. In addition, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
