Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician
$28–$55/hr OT Bonus Full Benefits
90% Travel-Based | Nationwide Travel
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Refrigeration Service Technician to join a leading global engineering and industrial systems organization supporting customers across food processing, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and industrial environments. This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy travel, troubleshooting complex systems, and working independently in the field while supporting critical refrigeration equipment and controls.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer service requests and field dispatches nationwide
- Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on compressor packages and refrigeration equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, PLCs, and industrial control panels
- Support startup and commissioning activities for newly installed equipment
- Perform warranty work and retrofits on refrigeration systems and controls packages
- Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and system drawings
- Train customers and end users on equipment operation and maintenance procedures
- Document service work and communicate findings clearly with customers and internal teams
- Assist engineering and product teams by providing field feedback and improvement recommendations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school training in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related discipline preferred
- 2 years of industrial refrigeration experience required
- Experience troubleshooting compressor systems and industrial refrigeration equipment
- Understanding of refrigeration cycles and major system components
- Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability
- Experience with PLCs and industrial controls preferred
- RETA certifications (CARO/CIRO) preferred
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to travel up to 90% nationwide
- Ability to lift equipment and work in industrial environments as needed
