Everest Client seeks a Procurement Specialist focused on optimizing value for the company in terms of time and cost while maintaining high standards of quality. Key responsibilities include processing purchase orders (PO’s), assisting with purchase requests, maintaining vendor relationships, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Process purchase orders efficiently.
- Assist requesters in defining purchase requests as necessary.
- Determine the appropriate procurement channel for each request and select the most suitable supplier based on price, quality, and lead time.
- Process new vendor requests and establish vendor profiles.
- Ensure accurate creation of purchase orders and address any related issues.
- Expedite orders as needed to meet deadlines.
- Engage in spot buying when necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Escalate complex issues to the Procurement Manager.
- Provide problem-solving support for non-complex issues.
- Monitor deviations and report non-conformances.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize required procurement tools such as Oracle, Smartsheet’s, and Excel.
- Evaluate, and resolve invoice issues.
- Work with field teams to gather and receive equipment for project-related purchases.
- Create project numbers.
- Complete projects in a timely manner as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent eye for detail
- Strong sense of ownership
- College leadership experience – clubs, research, sports, etc.
- 1 years' experience in a purchasing role preferred.
- Proficiency with MRP, and Oracle systems preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
