We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping activities including data entry of invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.
- Support balance sheet reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Help maintain the general ledger by recording and verifying financial transactions using QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support payroll processing and tax-related activities to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by providing relevant financial data and assisting with financial report writing.
Experience
- Previous experience working with QuickBooks
- Familiarity with corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
- Understanding of financial concepts such as account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance is advantageous.
