Position Summary:
The HR Coordinator provides essential support to the Human Resources Department by assisting with the administration of employee benefit plans, managing leave requests, and maintaining accurate employee records. Additionally, this position contributes to company-wide initiatives such as training programs, mentorship activities, and the effective communication of the benefits offered by Evans General Contractors, LLC. This is an in-office position located in Alpharetta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required changes and notifications through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Reconciles benefit statements.
- Promotes utilization of company benefits such as HealthJoy, Valenz Health, among others.
- Develop, together with the HR Generalist and the VP of Human Resources, a benefits communication program for employees.
- Assists HR Generalist with the review and process of leave requests under the FMLA and the American with Disabilities Act.
- Ensures all employee records are maintained and updated as needed.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Supports company-wide training and mentorship initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Completes special projects as required.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Detail oriented.
