We are looking for an efficient Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employees records and supporting the interview process. Your role involves performing tasks with a focus to grow our company’s talent pipeline and improve our sourcing tactics. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using HR software and tools. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the HR department and the organization.
This is a transportation company that operates 7 days a week with a very fast paced environment. This role will require heavy emphasis on hiring and recruiting.
Responsibilities
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Responsible for recruiting and scheduling applicants for interviews based on hiring needs
- Conduct interviews and onboarding of new hires into the company
- Post internal job positions and promote accordingly
- Oversee or conduct new employee orientation, conduct training, including front line leader training (interviewing, coaching etc.)
- Responsible for separation/terminations for violations of company policies
- Process payroll and other mandatory deductions
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll check distribution
- Ensure employee files are maintained in accordance with company policy.
- Conduct benefit enrollment and changes
- Supervises administration of personnel policies and practices
- Resolve people related issues, settle disputes, and conduct internal investigative procedures.
- Conduct safety incident investigations
- Champion for workers compensation claims, return to work, follow up and etc.
- Assist supervisors in performance management procedure and handle disciplinary action
- Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
- Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
- Support other functions as assigned
Skills
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- Ability to type 70 WPM
- Extremely strong organization, written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability in using Microsoft products (word, excel, powerpoint) and Google products (sheet, word, and slides)
- High level of confidentiality, telephone etiquette and accuracy required
- Ability to multitask, effectively manage time and resources to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to focus and complete assignments in a timely manner

- Familiar with ADP HR and payroll system
