What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expeditor - Gregory's position at Eureka Casino Resort?
Reports directly to the Food & Beverage Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, and Executive Chef. The Expeditor’s primary role is to coordinate all food between back of house (all kitchen staff) and front of house (all Servers/Host Staff) to provide guest with prompt and courteous food & beverage service. Employee is required to maintain a Health Card. Requires dependable, punctual attendance and be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
Swing Shift. Wednesday - Sunday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following :
Reliable
· Interact positively and effectively with co-workers and guests
· Maintains constant communication with Warehouse clerk on food order & deliveries
· Ensures orders are delivered timely and distributed between restaurants
· Notifies management immediately of any order issues or delays
· Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning
· Adjust temperature controls of ovens or other heating equipment
· Evaluate quality of food ingredients or prepared foods
· Order materials, supplies, or equipment
· Oversees the application of protective or decorative finishes to food items or products
· Complete all duties in absence of Pantry Chef
· Keep work area in compliance with health regulation and department procedures

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience working as a Cook/Baker in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred.
AGE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
· 18 years of age or above
· Southern Nevada Health Card
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral. Fluency in English required. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of weights and measurements related to Bakery/Culinary.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
