Heavy Duty Cleaner - Gregory's

Reports directly to the Executive Chef. The Heavy Duty Cleaner’s primary role is to maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen areas in accordance with Health Department regulations and department procedures. Employee is required to maintain a Health Card. Requires dependable, punctual attendance and be willing to work flexible hours as needed.

Varied Swing Shift, Wednesday - Sunday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Interact positively and effectively with co-workers

· Daily washing of silverware and dishes

· Daily sweeping and mopping of assigned kitchen areas

· Clean and sanitize walls, celling, refrigerators and storage rooms

· Maintain general work areas and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized

· Clean all safety hazards immediately and report maintenance issues promptly

· Check and follow daily schedule

· Keep work area in compliance with health regulation and department procedures

· All other duties as assigned

· Moderate verbal and written communication skills

· Requires the ability to follow directions and procedures

· Strong organizational skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required.

AGE and CERTIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age or older and hold a current Southern Nevada Health Card

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral. Fluency in English required. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must be able to lift, carry, pull and push objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Employee will be trained in chemical use and must use proper protective equipment while performing job duties. Must be able to work in humid conditions and it both extremely hot or/and cold temperatures.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
