Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Oversight:
- Oversee all Saturday Academy operations, ensuring the program runs smoothly from arrival to dismissal.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and real-time support to Saturday School Math Teachers.
- Ensure all instructional materials, assessments, and supplies are prepared and distributed before each session.
- Monitor classroom environments to ensure strong engagement, aligned instruction, and consistent expectations across grade levels.
- Oversee scholar arrival, attendance tracking, transitions, and dismissal.
- Address scholar behavior concerns in alignment with Ethos Classical’s values and culture systems.
- Build positive relationships with scholars to support motivation, attendance, and academic growth.
- Communicate with families as needed regarding attendance, behavior, or program updates.
- Review lesson plans, exit tickets, diagnostics, and scholar work to ensure alignment with GMAS preparation and grade-level standards.
- Lead brief weekly check-ins or debriefs with Saturday School Teachers to analyze data and adjust instruction.
- Track scholar progress across sessions and elevate trends to instructional leadership.
- Ensure teachers have the data and materials needed for effective remediation and enrichment.
- Coordinate building access, room assignments, safety protocols, breakfast/snack (if applicable), and supply management each Saturday.
- Partner with operations to ensure technology, Chromebooks (if used), and classroom resources are functioning and available.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance and communicate payroll information as needed.
- Handle any emergent operational issues during Saturday programming.
- Communicate proactively with the COA and school leaders regarding program status, needs, and scholar progress.
- Ensure all Saturday School staff adhere to policies, expectations, and schedule requirements.
- Support a positive, encouraging staff culture that reflects Ethos Classical’s core values.
- Bachelor’s degree required; teaching or leadership experience preferred.
- Previous experience managing instructional programs, tutoring programs, extended learning, or Saturday/after-school academies preferred.
- Strong understanding of 3rd–6th grade math standards and GMAS expectations. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and problem-solve in real time.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

- Hourly, temporary role; compensation to be determined based on experience. Starting rate is $25 per hour and will increase based on experience.
- January 10 – April 18, 2026 (14 Saturdays total). No session on February 21 or April 10.
- Expected hours: approximately 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM each Saturday (including setup and debrief).
- Worksite: Ethos Classical Middle School.
- Saturday programming runs smoothly, consistently, and on schedule.
- Teachers feel supported, prepared, and aligned around instructional priorities.
- Scholar attendance is strong, and engagement increases across sessions.
- Data shows measurable improvement in scholar math fluency and GMAS readiness.
- Families receive clear and timely communication as needed.
- The program reflects Ethos Classical’s culture—warm, structured, and academically rigorous.
