Human Resources Manager

OVERVIEW: The Human Resources Manager plays a strategic role in fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and compliant workplace. This position is responsible for overseeing core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and policy development. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and organizational goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair resolution of workplace issues.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook to reflect current best practices.
  • Partner with department leaders to support organizational change, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to promote a positive and productive work environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise HR staff and/or administrative personnel as assigned.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while ensuring accountability and quality outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives and collaborate with other departments as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
