Job Summary
The CTE and/or STEAM Teacher (Arts Focus) provides interdisciplinary instruction integrating science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics through hands-on, project-based learning. This role fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration while supporting arts-infused experiences aligned with curriculum standards. The teacher works collaboratively with staff to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all students. Required: Must possess a valid teaching credential appropriate for the position such as Single Subject or CTE credential.
Requirements / Qualifications
This recruitment is to fill two (2) positions: one elementary school position and one shared middle/high school position. Candidates must hold the appropriate credential for the the assignment (e.g. Multiple Subject and/or appropriate CTE credential for the elementary school position; Single Subject and/or appropriate CTE credential for the middle/high school). The middle/high school position is guaranteed to be a split-site assignment for the 2026–27 school year. Assignment for the 2027–28 school year is subject to change based on district needs and available funding. This position is funded through Proposition 28, which includes site-specific funding allocations that may affect future assignment and placement. -CLAD certification or equivalent -Resume -(3) Letters of Recommendation (Current within the last year) -Letter of Introduction -Official Transcripts
At the time of initial employment, credential unit members shall be given full credit on the salary schedule for their first ten (10) years of full-time teaching experience, whether in California or another state. Thereafter, one (1) year of credit for each two (2) years of full-time teaching in California or another state will be allowed. Such experience credit shall only be allowed for public school teaching experience.
