Civil Construction Foreman

About the Role:

The Civil Construction Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and coordinating civil construction projects from inception to completion. This position ensures that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. The foreman acts as the primary point of contact between site workers, subcontractors, and project management, facilitating clear communication and problem-solving on-site. They are responsible for managing resources, scheduling tasks, and monitoring progress to meet project milestones while maintaining a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30-hour or equivalent).
• Formal training or certification in construction management or related field.
• Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Proficiency in construction management software and digital reporting tools.
• First aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews on civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities.

• Interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to guide work execution and resolve any on-site issues.

• Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards and compliance with design specifications.
