Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates all activities related to procurement beginning with intent to purchase through delivery
- Responsible for supplier metrics, approvals, and risk assessments for assigned group of suppliers
- Analyzes the requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed
- Issues RFQ’s and PO’s and/or IDWA’s in accordance with company and government regulations
- Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations
- Assures material is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, meets the quality standards of the company and aligns with inventory level expectations
- Assist in the coordination of supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics
- Support the procurement team in sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and negotiating contracts
- Assist in analyzing inventory levels and demand forecasts to optimize inventory management
- Help maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and supplier information
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain
- Support the implementation of supply chain initiatives and projects
- Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing reports for management review
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to various aspects of supply chain management
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
Desired Skills
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts and principles is preferred
- Previous internship or work experience in supply chain management or manufacturing is a plus
