Key Responsibilities
- Perform self-devised, supplemental fault or technical analysis when failures are beyond the scope of documented Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) to isolate the faulty components
- Perform in-depth technical analysis to resolve issues pertaining to technical problems in Production and on Repairs
- Assist in prototype and first article testing to ensure the Government/Customer receives a fully compliant product
- Repair, modify, troubleshoot, calibrate, and functionally test electronic test fixtures
- Perform in-depth analysis of test software and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) – recommend specific corrective actions
- Maintain the overall safety and cleanliness of the test areas
- Assure manufacturing methods/processes are followed for all jobs
- Ensure on-time and accurate delivery of released products
- Support product longevity (obsolescence resolution) and engineering projects
- Conduct qualification testing as required
- Maintain and update all fixturing in the test area
- Must be able to multi-task effectively
- Assist engineers and designers in all aspects of new product development and product improvements
- Schedule work to meet Production deadlines
- Provide the proper and correct documentation to support the final product design
- May require some travel to third party labs to support product qualification, testing or failure analysis
- Associate degree or technical school and equivalent experience
- 4 years minimum experience as a Technician in an Avionics or other related electronic production environment
- Must be proficient at reading electrical schematics and using a DVM and oscilloscopes for data acquisition and component level troubleshooting
- Experience working in an AS9100 certified facility
- This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization
- Can operate test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters, thermal chambers, vibration tables)
- Good electromechanical background. Excellent troubleshooter
- Ability to read Mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing fixture design as well as assembly processes
- Strong communicator, able to work with multiple departments
- Ability to work on a job to completion with minimum supervision
- Must be a team player and able to work well with engineers and other employees in a positive, productive, and appropriate manner
- Significant amount of sitting.
- Ability to operate test equipment and light machinery
- Ability to stoop, bend, lift to 30lbs
- Periodically may require longer working hours
