What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at ESCO Maritime Solutions?
Key Responsibilities
Perform receiving inspection.
Perform appropriate transactions in internal systems.
Perform in process inspections as required.
Perform Final QA Audit of Product as needed.
Knowledge of the use hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
Maintain Receiving inspection files.
Pull prints from files or electronic database.
Interpret prints for measuring parts.
Interface with Purchasing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments.
Most be flexible in schedule and available for Saturdays and OT as needed.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Interface with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Shipping/Receiving departments.
Required Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3 years in engineering/manufacturing/QA inspection and test
This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Desired Skills
Knowledge and use of basic hand tools and measuring tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Basic mathematic skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and follow written or verbal instructions.
Strong attention to detail.
Position requires extensive sitting and/or standing and good eye-hand coordination.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read small text and handwriting.
Manual dexterity required and able to perform repetitive tasks.
Frequently required to stand.
The employee must be able to visually examine parts and documents.
The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Compensation Information
Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 USD (Annually)
