About Escargot

Escargot started with greeting cards — but cards are the wedge. We're building a new kind of digital-to-physical social network: one that helps people keep track of the relationships that matter, act on the moments they usually miss, and turn those moments into physical things — cards, gifts, keepsakes, the little objects that prove a life happened.

Social media became performance. Texting became the default for everything. But the things people actually save — a card on the fridge, a note in a drawer, a ticket stub — still carry disproportionate meaning. That's the space we're building in: the bridge between digital convenience and physical meaning.

We've raised $3M from South Park Commons and Hannah Grey, 100,000 people use Escargot, we have a 4.6 App Store rating, and people are already framing our cards on their walls. We're a small NYC team founded by Aaron Albert (CEO) and Andrew Gold (CTO). Now we need to make Escargot feel much bigger in the world.

Why this role exists

We need someone who figures out how Escargot grows — and can actually pull it off. The channels worth being on, the hacks worth trying, the events, popups, and stunts worth running, the partnerships worth chasing. This isn't paid acquisition, lifecycle, or attribution dashboards. It's the inventive, scrappy, make-it-happen kind of growth. We have a product people love and a creative engine to make great work — what's missing is the person inventing the plays and running them.

What you own

• The growth roadmap — which plays we run, and why

• Channels, hacks, events, popups, stunts, and the experiments behind them

• Creator, collab, and partnership pipelines — sourcing, closing, and running the relationships

• Distribution and cadence — where the work goes and how often

• The learning loop — what moved, what didn't, what's next

• The path from attention to install to first send

The kind of plays you'll run

A popup that turns a neighborhood into a story. A referral loop nobody's tried. An unexpected channel that's somehow still uncrowded. A creator collab that doesn't feel paid. A stunt the internet can't ignore. You'll invent these, decide which are worth the bet, and then make them happen on the ground — booking the space, closing the creator, getting the thing live — and read what actually moved: shares, saves, tags, installs, first sends. Not just views. You'll work closely with Aaron on strategy, and in lockstep with the Creative Lead on bringing each play to life.

Where the line is

We're hiring two founding roles that build one machine. This is the Organic Growth Lead. Here's the clean line between the two:

• Owns — Organic Growth Lead owns how we grow; Creative Lead owns what people see.

• Works in — Growth: plays (channels, hacks, events, popups, stunts, partnerships). Creative: ideas and craft (concept, art direction, photo, video, edit, design).

• Creators — Growth sources, closes, and runs the relationship; Creative briefs and directs what they make.

• A stunt or event — Growth decides if it's worth running and makes it happen; Creative dreams up what it actually is and makes it land.

Both of you invent, both of you execute, and both of you answer the same question: did this make someone actually want to send something?

You're probably a fit if

• You've built organic, social, or creator-led growth for a consumer brand and can point to what actually moved

• You invent growth, you don't just manage it — weird referral loops, scrappy stunts, channels nobody's working yet

• You can both pick the bet and execute it end to end

• You connect attention to behavior — installs and sends, not vanity engagement

• You're comfortable with a blank page and a lot of ambiguity

You're probably not a fit if

• You think paid, CRO, lifecycle, and attribution first (useful skills — just not the center of this role)

• A content calendar is your comfort zone

• You pitch beautiful strategy but stall when it's time to make it real

• You need a mature playbook and a team beneath you to operate

Why this matters

This is bigger than making content for a card company. We're building the modern home for thoughtfulness — a huge category hiding in plain sight: birthdays, breakups, apologies, inside jokes, grief, gratitude, crushes, family stuff, the distance between people, and all the small moments when someone means to show up and doesn't.

It's a rare cultural opening, too. As more of life gets automated and disposable, physical proof that someone paused and cared is going to matter more, not less. And Escargot has emotional range most brands never get — funny, weird, romantic, tender, petty, sincere, nostalgic, a little unhinged. The right person gets to use all of it.

Customers already feel it — they frame our cards, save them, put them on the fridge. The job is to turn that heat into cultural momentum. If you want to help define what thoughtfulness looks like for a generation, this could be the best part of your career.

The logistics

• Founding role on a small team

• Full-time, on-site in NYC

• Reports directly to the CMO

• Competitive salary ($100,000–$150,000) meaningful founding equity and benefits

How to apply

Apply right here on LinkedIn — and tell us about a growth play you invented and ran, and what it actually moved. If someone came to mind while reading this, send them our way.

We're making thoughtfulness feel current, social, and worth talking about. This is the role that makes sure people encounter it.
