Overview
Manager – Escapology Colorado Springs
Escapology Colorado Springs is looking for an energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our escape room entertainment venue. This is a hands-on leadership position reporting directly to the Regional Area Manager. The Manager will lead the team, oversee daily operations, and step in to perform all Game Master/Host responsibilities when needed.
Duties
- Lead, coach, train, and hold team members accountable to company standards
- Oversee daily operations, staffing, opening/closing procedures, and shift execution
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience and handle guest questions or concerns professionally
- Host and monitor escape room experiences, provide hints, and troubleshoot puzzles and technology
- Ensure games are properly reset, clean, organized, functional, and ready for every group
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, professionalism, and presentation
- Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, employee performance, and team development
- Support birthday parties, corporate events, group bookings, and other special events
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Complete required reports, checklists, and administrative tasks
- Jump in wherever needed to keep the business running smoothlyRequirements
- Proven management experience in retail or related industries with supervisory responsibilities in sales teams
- Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising principles
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development
- Experience with operational management tasks such as budgeting, purchasing, stock control, and shift management
- Ability to lead teams effectively with supervisory experience in retail store management or assistant manager roles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on customer service excellence and team motivation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience
- Customer service, hospitality, entertainment, retail, or similar experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Able to coach employees while maintaining professional accountability
- Comfortable learning and operating technology, booking systems, and escape room equipment
- Must be able to perform all Game Master/Host responsibilities
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
