What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Master / Shift Lead position at Escapology?
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Game Master, facilitating and overseeing interactive games and experiences for guests
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive and memorable experience for all participants
- Manage game logistics, including set-up, briefing participants, and explaining rules
- Monitor game progress and provide hints or assistance when needed
- Ensure the safety of all participants during gameplay
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of game rooms and equipment
- Handle cash transactions and manage reservations
- Promote offers and deals to customers in engaging and effective ways
Experience:
- Conflict management skills to handle any disputes or issues that may arise during gameplay
- Strong customer service skills to provide exceptional service to guests
- Experience in guest services or hospitality industry is preferred
- Background in theater or events management is advantageous for creating immersive experiences
- Public speaking skills to confidently communicate instructions and engage participants
This position requires extensive weekend and holiday availability. Please understand that not having this type of availability may impact your application.
We are looking for a qualified candidate who is able and willing to transition into a management role within 18 months.
