As our first dedicated Product Marketing Manager (PMM), you’ll report directly to a founder and own how Escape is discovered, understood, and adopted by the security world. You will define Escape’s category position, crafting narrative and go-to-market strategies across both US and European markets.
You Will:
- Develop impactful product messaging for Security Leaders and Engineers, translating technical features into compelling, value-based stories
- Own go-to-market strategies for new feature launches, collaborating closely with the Growth Marketing team to drive pipeline results
- Lead market and competitive research, sharpening Escape’s positioning and informing product roadmap decisions
- Drive thought leadership initiatives, including speaking engagements (e.g., partner webinars) and high-impact content
- Build the sales enablement toolkit, designing pitch decks, battlecards, competitive comparisons, and one-pagers to ensure our commercial team excels
- Establish foundational PMM processes, playbooks, and strategies to scale and evolve with the company
- Security teams instantly understand how Escape fits into their security stack, thanks to your clear and compelling messaging
- Sales cycles accelerate as reps are empowered with sharp, resonant narratives and robust competitive positioning
- Feature launches consistently generate traction and move the pipeline forward
- Escape builds a recognized voice in offensive security, with you as a key architect of our thought leadership
- 5 years total experience, with at least 2 years in product marketing (ideally in cybersecurity, developer tools, or technical B2B SaaS at high-growth companies)
- Demonstrated success in marketing to technical audiences, you understand engineers and speak their language
- Experience supporting product launches end-to-end, from messaging and asset creation to performance analysis
- Strong storytelling capabilities, able to distill technical topics into compelling, audience-adaptive narratives
- Collaborative and cross-functional, comfortable working closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams
- Start-up experience, particularly in early-stage, fast-moving environments
- Entrepreneurial spirit—proactive, adaptable, and eager to build from scratch
- Familiarity with application security, developer tools, or engineering workflows
- Full ownership of a strategic function in a high-growth cybersecurity startup
