Primary Purpose
Guarantee the effective execution of the House Bill 3 Reading Academy mandates. This entails furnishing regional leadership, conducting staff development sessions, and delivering instructional coaching tailored to K-3 literacy. The overarching aim is to enhance the capacity of Reading Academy participants in literacy instruction and equip them with best practices for optimal outcomes.

Education/Certification
- Masters Degree required.
- Texas Teacher Certification- Elementary ELAR is preferred.
- Administrative Certification is preferred.

- Ability to manage self-directed projects.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of successful classroom teaching experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful experience in coaching teachers is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful K-3 classroom teaching experience is required.
- Successful completion of the Texas Reading Academies Cohort Leader Screener.
- Successful completion of the Texas Reading Academies or Texas Reading Academies Cohort Leader experience is required.

- Implement and adhere to the Reading Academies timelines/due dates/state requirements.

Mental: Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress.
Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Frequent region and state-wide travel. Capability to stand, speak, and actively engage with audiences for extended periods during training and presentations.
Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations.
Evaluation
Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding.
