Part-Time Professional Development Consultant, K-12 Mathematics Hourly Rate: $42.00 - $75.00 Closing Date: Until Filled Summary The Education Service Center Region 19 is committed to supporting districts in the selection and implementation of highquality instructional materials (HQIM) to ensure equity for all students through access to rigorous, grade-level content. This part-time grant funded position provides regional campus and district educators with technical assistance and professional development to support high-fidelity implementation of the K – 5 and 6 - Algebra I Math Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials. Qualifications This position requires: a Master’s Degree; valid TX State Teacher Certification in Mathematics; a minimum of five (5) years’ experience teaching K-5 Math or 6-12 Math (Bilingual/ESL certified, preferred); deep content & pedagogical knowledge & skills; a minimum of two (2) years campus, district or regional leadership experience as curriculum specialist, instructional coach and/or assistant principal/principal; mid-management or principal certificate preferred; TTESS and AEL certification preferred. Knowledge of high-quality instructional materials, curriculum alignment, and assessment practices. Ability to analyze student performance data to inform instructional decision-making. and experience in public presentations and communicating complex information, development of effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups including district administrators, teachers, education experts, and all other relevant stakeholders. Strong understanding of equity-focused instructional practices and strategies for diverse student populations. Skilled in management of projects towards outcomes and effective communication as it relates to instructional strategies. Success leveraging different strategies and interpersonal skills to move the work forward, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability when presented with a change of course and deadline. A desire to self-reflect, give/receive feedback and continuously improve. Other requirements: Applicant must have prior experience using data analysis software and communication tools including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, previous budget & program management experience; a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
