The Real Estate Appraisal Assistant / Trainee will be trained to become one of our board certified appraisers specializing in manufactured and modular housing appraisals. They will join our current staff of 9 appraisers and will be involved in market research, identifying comparable sales, writing appraisal reports, developing relationships with clients and field inspectors, and helping us maintain the high quality of customer service that our customers have come to expect. Datacomp will provide all of the necessary training required to excel at this position.

Primary Responsibilities Include
- Review incoming appraisal requests to determine if we can appraise.
- Research available databases for suitable comparable sales data needed to produce an accurate appraisal report.
- Contact local real estate sales agents and manufactured home community managers and sales departments looking for additional comparable sales data.
- Review the home inspection paperwork and photos for accuracy.
- Provide feedback and training to our inspector network as needed.
- Write and sign appraisal reports once becoming board certified. (Within 6 months.)
- 4 year college degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in working with numbers
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Real estate or manufactured housing experience helpful, but not required
