About the Role
The Customer Support & Product Specialist is responsible for providing world-class support to EDCO customers and distributors. You’ll help customers with product questions, order processing, and troubleshooting, ensuring each interaction reflects EDCO’s commitment to quality and care. You’ll also support product training, assist with sales initiatives, and occasionally represent EDCO at training sessions or tradeshows.
Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests via phone and email
Provide product training and technical support to municipal users, distributors, contractors, and rental companies
Prepare official quotes and process orders for equipment, accessories, and parts
Notify customers of order status and back orders
Recommend replacement parts and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and resolve customer-reported mechanical issues
Process warranty claims in accordance with EDCO’s RMA and Warranty policies
Maintain accurate documentation of customer cases
Continuously expand product knowledge through training
Support EDCO Master Distribution by guiding customers through purchasing channels
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Customer service, construction, manufacturing, or equipment experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
Required Skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Reliable attendance and high standard of conduct
Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with MRP/data entry systems
Mechanical knowledge or hands-on experience with equipment
Ability to read and understand schematics
Experience working independently and with customers by phone/email
Work Environment
Primarily office-based, with occasional time in a warehouse setting
Standard office equipment (desk, computer, phone)
May require the use of safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and ear protection
Noise levels vary from normal to high, depending on location
