What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Tech - Weekend Days position at Equiliem?
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The position involves working weekend days with a shift schedule of Friday to Sunday, 7am to 7:30pm. On-call and holiday shifts are also required, with 2-3 on-call shifts per month.
Responsibilities- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
- Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling.
- Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
- HCP's currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission.
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position).
- Two (2) Years' Experience.
- Level 1 Trauma Center Experience.
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
- Telemetry.
- Injection certification preferred; must be willing to complete during orientation process.
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A patient and compassionate disposition.
- Team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
- Level I Trauma Experience: Required, 2 Years
- CT Tech License (NY ONLY): Required
- BLS (American Heart Association ONLY): Required
- Two (2) years experience: Required, 2 Years
- Siemens Scanner Experience: Required, 6 Months
- Epic Experience: Highly desired, 1 Year
- Telemetry: Required
