What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Recruiter – Entry Level | No Recruiting Experience Required position at Equiliem?
READY TO START A CAREER, NOT JUST ANOTHER JOB?
Are you great with people? Competitive? Driven? The person who can talk to just about anyone?
Maybe you’re currently working in a restaurant, behind a bar, in retail, customer service, hospitality, or another fast-paced environment — and you’re ready to turn those people skills into a professional career.
You do NOT need recruiting experience to apply.
In fact, this opportunity was designed for people who are new to recruiting. At Equiliem, we’ll teach you how to become a recruiter from the ground up through comprehensive, hands-on training. You bring the personality, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn. We’ll teach you the recruiting business.
WHO WE ARE
Equiliem is a national recruiting and workforce solutions firm with an award-winning culture and a growing team.
Recruiting is ultimately a people business. Our recruiters build relationships, connect people with career opportunities, solve problems, and help companies find the talent they need to succeed.
We’re looking for motivated individuals who want an opportunity to break into the professional world, develop valuable business skills, and build a long-term career.
YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF...
You’ve worked as a:
- Server or bartender
- Retail associate
- Customer service representative
- Hospitality professional
- Front desk associate
- Call center representative
- Sales associate
- Recent college graduate
- Campus or student leader
Or maybe you simply haven't had the opportunity to start your professional career yet.
That's okay.
We care more about your potential than having the “perfect” résumé.
If you know how to communicate with people, stay organized when things get busy, take feedback, work toward goals, and keep going when you hear “no,” you already have many of the foundational skills that can make someone successful in recruiting.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
We don't expect you to walk in knowing how to recruit.
Our training program will teach you how to:
- Find and connect with candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networking
- Conduct professional phone screens and interviews
- Understand a candidate's experience, goals, and motivations
- Build relationships with candidates
- Match candidates with career opportunities
- Communicate professionally with candidates and internal teams
- Discuss compensation and help navigate job offers
- Manage candidate pipelines and follow-up
- Use professional recruiting technology and applicant tracking systems
- Develop the communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills used by successful recruiters
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
Recruiting is fast-paced, social, and highly activity-driven.
You'll spend your day talking to people, building relationships, searching for candidates, conducting interviews, following up with candidates, collaborating with your team, and working toward weekly goals.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy and wants their effort to directly impact their success.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (No recruiting experience required.)
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident communicating with new people
- Comfortable spending significant time on the phone
- Motivated by goals and results
- Competitive and driven
- Coachable and open to feedback
- Reliable and responsive
- Organized and able to follow through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excited to learn a new profession
- Interested in building a long-term career
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, retail, customer service, sales, call centers, athletics, or campus leadership can be a great foundation for this position — but it is not required.
WHERE CAN THIS CAREER TAKE YOU?
This isn't intended to be just another entry-level job.
Our goal is to teach you a profession and give you the foundation to grow within the staffing and recruiting industry.
As you develop, there may be opportunities to advance into positions such as:
Associate Recruiter → Recruiter → Senior Recruiter → Account Management or Leadership
Recruiting can give motivated professionals the opportunity to develop skills in communication, interviewing, negotiation, sales, relationship management, business operations, and leadership.
