Job Summary
The CAD Design/Drafter I is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models using computer-aided design software. This role collaborates closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to translate conceptual designs into accurate, manufacturable plans and schematics. The position requires strong attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage revisions while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings and 3D models based on engineering and design specifications
• Interpret sketches, drawings, and technical requirements to develop accurate designs
• Use CAD software to produce detailed drawings of parts, assemblies, and structures
• Incorporate design revisions and updates as directed by stakeholders
• Ensure all drawings meet applicable industry standards and specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design issues and improve manufacturability
• Maintain organized documentation and file management for all drawings and project files
• Support design validation and review processes as needed

Job Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certificate in CAD, Drafting, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD design and drafting
• Proficiency in Creo Parametric software required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of drafting standards and best practices

Education

• Associate degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design, Drafting, or related field required

Work Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant CAD drafting experience required
• 3–5 years of experience using Creo Parametric software preferred
• Experience with 3D modeling or mechanical design principles preferred
