Job Summary
The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for supporting asset management operations by reviewing, validating, and maintaining fixed asset records to ensure data accuracy and completeness. This role focuses on asset data cleanup, inventory record validation, and documentation management in preparation for an enterprise asset management system implementation. The ideal candidate has experience with fixed assets, inventory control, property records, or accounting support and possesses exceptional attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and update asset records to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and correct asset location information.
- Review and update offsite asset status records.
- Research and validate zero-cost asset records.
- Review and update asset categories and profile classifications.
- Identify and investigate untagged or missing asset records.
- Perform data cleanup and validation across fixed asset and inventory records.
- Maintain accurate Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, reports, and tracking logs.
- Identify missing, incomplete, or conflicting asset information and recommend corrections.
- Support enterprise asset management system implementation activities through data preparation and validation.
- Assist with property management, inventory control, and audit support activities.
- Maintain organized documentation and asset records.
- Perform additional administrative and asset management duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Previous experience with fixed assets, asset management, property management, inventory control, asset tracking, accounting support, or related record maintenance required.
- Experience reviewing and validating large volumes of data for accuracy.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data cleanup, organization, filtering, sorting, and reporting.
- Experience maintaining inventory or asset management records preferred.
- Experience with enterprise asset management systems or Workday Asset Management preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve data quality issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred.
