💲 Pay: Starting at $16/hour, based on experience
🕒 Schedule: Sunday–Thursday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
🌟 Position Summary
Epworth Villa is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Life Enrichment Assistant to help create meaningful experiences for our residents. In this role, you’ll support residents’ emotional, social, and cognitive well-being through engaging activities, special events, and daily interactions that foster joy and connection.
🎨 Essential Responsibilities
Lead Engaging Activities
- Facilitate group and individual activities including music, games, crafts, exercise, themed events, and social programs.
- Encourage resident participation and engagement in daily programming.
Create Meaningful Experiences
- Help plan celebrations, holiday events, and special activities that enhance residents’ quality of life.
- Promote an atmosphere of warmth, fun, and inclusion.
Support Residents with Compassion
- Build positive relationships through conversation, encouragement, and companionship.
- Assist residents during activities and provide support as appropriate.
Assist with Program Coordination
- Prepare activity materials, decorate event spaces, and help maintain activity supplies.
- Support the development and implementation of monthly activity calendars.
Promote Resident Well-Being
- Observe residents for changes in mood, behavior, or condition and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Help new residents feel welcomed and connected within the community.
Collaborate as a Team
- Work closely with staff, volunteers, families, and other departments to provide exceptional resident experiences.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude.
✅ Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as an Activities Assistant or in a related role preferred.
- Creative, upbeat, and compassionate personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and resident needs.
- Passion for working with older adults and enhancing their daily lives.
- Commitment to treating residents, families, and coworkers with dignity and respect.
