What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Care Specialist position at Eppendorf?
Your challenges
- Communicates with customers by phone and email.
- Enters orders into the ERP system, SAP.
- Arrange ocean and truck shipments to include customs clearance, commercial invoicing, and packing list requirements.
- Communicate with freight forwarders and/or brokers to obtain rate quotes and track/trace shipments.
- Work with freight forwarders and/or brokers to resolve customs clearance issues; partner with customers and sales reps to provide the respective documentation needed for clearances unique to each order.
- Assists customers with complaints concerning the product supplied and follows up with other departments as needed to provide the customer with a positive experience.
- Supports Sales & Service regarding product availability and order management.
- Support finance with communication to customers on their account status.
- Communicate with appropriate peers within the department on all regulatory agencies and Corporate Trade Compliance topics.
- Follow all department policies and procedures.
- Follows ISO 9001 policies and procedures in the performance to the responsibilities outlined in the job description.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred; and 2–5 years in a similar role. A combination of education and experience is acceptable
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Excel and all Microsoft Applications
- Compensation: $22 - $24/hr.
