Minimum Qualifications:
- Possesses, at a minimum, an 8th grade education.
- Is sixteen (16) years of age.
- Is able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language and follow written/oral instructions. Possesses sight/hearing senses or uses prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
- Able and willing to work independently with flexibility and integrity, as well as effectively and harmoniously with team members, residents, family members, guests, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, and the general public in a fast-paced work environment.
- Is able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the community.
- Commits to aligning behavior in accordance with the ERS Core Values and Ways of Working.
As an Administrative and Program Support Specialist, you can expect to:
- Ensures that the Dining Room is set up according to ERS standards for meals.
- Rolls silverware, stocks cereal racks and re-stocks linens as directed.
- Serves meals to the residents and their guests, providing exceptional customer service to all customers in accordance with ERS’s overall philosophy of Person Centered Care.
- Clears dirty dishes from tables between courses and after meals.
- Ensures all tables and chairs are cleaned after meal service and the tables reset for the next meal.
- Performs other cleaning duties as directed, including beverage stations, serving stations, salad bar, etc, and vacuuming dining room.
- Prepares and delivers trays to residents as requested.
- Assures that safety regulations are followed and reports any accidents, hazardous equipment or conditions immediately.
- Performs stock room functions including checking stock to ensure all items are accounted for and undamaged; notifying the supervisor if there are damaged items that need to be returned; putting stock away in the appropriate place; and cleaning duties.
