We are seeking a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our Hospice Interdisciplinary Team. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to use music therapeutically to enhance comfort, connection, and quality of life for patients and their families.

Position Details
- Schedule: Part-Time 0.7 FTE
- Team: Hospice Interdisciplinary Team
- Reports To: Director of Clinical Operations
- Travel: Required within service area
What You’ll Do
Clinical & Patient Care
- Complete music therapy assessments for patients and families
- Provide individualized, evidence-based music therapy interventions
- Address physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs
- Support comfort, memory recall, emotional expression, and end-of-life goals
- Utilize culturally responsive music and therapeutic techniques
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
- Partner with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and care teams
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
- Support patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care journey
- Promote continuity of care across services
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow hospice regulations and infection control standards
- Support a safe, respectful care environment
Operational Support
- Collaborate with leadership to support efficient care delivery
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from an AMTA-accredited program
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
- Ability to travel within the service area
Preferred
- Experience in hospice or palliative care
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Work in hospice homes, patient residences, and community settings
- Exposure to emotionally sensitive situations
- Occasional evening or weekend availability
