Job Description:
The Telephone Operator is responsible for properly answering all incoming telephone calls, responding to inquiries, and transferring calls to the correct departments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple position telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls
- Respond to inquiries from calls as per Hospital policy
- Take and relay messages for staff members
- Maintain current file of patients' names, room location, and telephone extensions to expedite relaying calls
- Maintain list of resident doctors and technicians on call for the day
Requirements:
- 2 years experience as telephone operator
- High School diploma or equivalency required
- Ability to operate multi-position telephone console
- Excellent communication skills
Salary : $27 - $28
