Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Laser Operator based in Jamaica, NY. The Laser Operator will handle the day-to-day operation of laser cutting machines, ensuring precision and quality in metal fabrication projects. Responsibilities include preparing and operating equipment, reviewing project specifications, conducting quality control checks, and managing workflows to meet project deadlines and standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Autocad and Solidworks or other 3d modeling software
- Knowledge of Laser technology and its applications is a plus
- In compliance with quality control to ensure accuracy and precision in outputs
- Familiarity with Operations Management to maintain efficient workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Physical ability to manage materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in metal fabrication or a similar environment is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in related fields are an advantage
