Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Position Summary
The IT Systems & Network Administrator will manage the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our IT infrastructure, supporting both on-site and remote staff. This role oversees servers, networks, and cloud systems to ensure performance, integrity, and security while implementing best practices for operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and workstation environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and SharePoint environments.
- Monitor and resolve performance issues proactively.
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery, and restoration processes.
Network Administration
- Configure and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network traffic and address performance or security concerns.
- Maintain network documentation and coordinate with vendors/ISPs.
Cybersecurity
- Implement and manage endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ensure compliance with company data protection and cybersecurity policies.
- Educate staff on security awareness and respond to security incidents.
Support & Collaboration
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex technical issues.
- Track helpdesk resolutions and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Partner with leadership on technology planning and implementation.
- Manage user accounts and hardware provisioning/deprovisioning.
Documentation & Process
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, licenses, and inventory.
- Develop and update IT policies and SOPs.
- Recommend infrastructure enhancements aligned with growth and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on systems and network administration experience.
- Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Network , Security , or Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate.
Technical Skills
- Windows Server 2019/2022
- Microsoft 365 & Azure AD
- Networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPN, TCP/IP, routing, and switching)
- VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
- Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, or similar)
- PowerShell or Bash scripting (a plus)
- Cloud backup and data recovery tools
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Working Conditions
- Hybrid schedule: minimum three days onsite at Charlotte, Gastonia or Concord Office (depending on need)
- Occasional evening/weekend maintenance work
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. of IT equipment
