Cross-Dock Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cross-Dock Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities of cross-dock and warehouse associates. This position is responsible for directing employees to achieve operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping and receiving.
The Cross-Dock Supervisor will coordinate inbound and outbound operations, manage staffing and workflow, monitor employee performance, communicate with transportation and inventory teams, and ensure company policies and safety procedures are consistently followed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operations
- Supervise the daily activities of cross-dock and warehouse associates.
- Schedule staff appropriately to support operational needs across a 7-day workweek.
- Conduct daily departmental start-up meetings to communicate expected volumes, operational priorities, performance expectations, and safety topics.
- Prepare for shift turnover meetings by reviewing:
- Daily inbound volumes.
- HOT and cross-dock vendor receiving/shipping status.
- Carryover work requiring completion.
- Employee call-offs and staffing needs.
- Scheduled overtime.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe dock areas, aisles, break areas,
